When did you decide to become an editor & why?
Hmmm. Probably in 1982. Brazil vs Italy in the World Cup. 20 mins before kick off, the BBC played a montage of the Brazil teams 'best bits so far.’ It utterly mesmerized me. I realized pictures and music could make you 'feel' a certain way. Clearly I didn't know what an editor was at that point, but the fire was lit.
What’s your favorite thing about editing and why?
I never go to bed on a Sunday thinking 'oh shit its work tomorrow!' I get so much pleasure from it. It gives me purpose and an identity.
Biggest creative challenge you’ve faced?
A DHL job I did a while back. Lots of moving boxes. Like lots and lots and lots...
