Lisa Gunning & Goldfrapp transcend time in this bewitching black and white film that feels almost as ethereal and gossamer as the memories it evokes.
Already an internationally renowned Editor, Lisa Gunning emerges as a Director with Drew for Goldfrapp’s Tales of Us. The first of 5 videos, Gunning has worked with Cap Gun Collective UK to craft this tranquil piece along with the remaining four videos already shot and awaiting release.
In addition to these music videos, Gunning is crafting a film to give visual voice to the Tales of Us narrative for cinematic release later this year. Drew‘s air of idyllic nostalgia, innocence and intimacy is just a taste of what’s to come.
The album, Tales of Us, drops September 9th and Goldfrapp will perform Tales of Us live for the first time at the Manchester International Festival accompanied by the Royal Northern College of Music string orchestra on 17 & 18 of July. This performance will be followed on 20 July at Somerset House and again as a headline at the Lovebox main stage on Sunday 21 July.
