Whitehouse Post New York Promotes Ryan Smith to Executive Producer

Whitehouse Post is thrilled to promote one of their own to the Executive Producer role in New York. Ryan began his career with Whitehouse at their London office and joined full time as a producer in 2017. Soon after, a position opened in the NYC office and Smith jumped at the chance. “Whitehouse has some of the most talented editors in the game, I’ve admired their work for years, from commercials to movies, so getting the opportunity to show them who I am and what I can bring to the table was huge for me. I’ve worked my way up through the ranks at Whitehouse and produced some huge campaigns with 100+ deliverables, a spot for Super Bowl, short films, music videos, the list goes on. I’ve seen it all, and survived, almost always with a smile on my face! To have a company of this caliber believe in me and what I can bring to the table is an incredible feeling.”

Smith has produced work for top brands including Google, Amex, Fanduel, Verizon, Jack Daniels and Coca-Cola and forged relationships with agencies including Grey x Townhouse, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Johannes Leonardo, and Wieden + Kennedy. A career highlight came in 2022 when Smith produced Mountain Dew Major Melon featuring John Cena for the Super Bowl. As EP, Smith is aware of the many facets to the role. “Executive Producer is so multi-layered. You’re a leader, a champion to your team, you have to think ahead and have your finger on the pulse of the industry. It’s always evolving, as the industry is, so it’s about looking to the future whilst being present in the here and now. It’s about being the Beyoncé.”

“Ryan is a natural,” says Partner/ Editor Adam Marshall. “His big heart and infectious personality means he is loved by clients and staff alike. He really understands and loves the commercial industry and has shown that with hard work, passion and dedication you can go far. Having known Ryan for 20 years I am both proud and excited for him to be the new EP.”

A talented DJ with a passion for fashion, Ryan truly gives clients the full experience. “I want people to work with Whitehouse and not only adore the editor and work they’re creating, but to also receive the love from production, the support staff, and feel looked after. We really pride ourselves on that. The same for anyone that works for Whitehouse – this industry can be extremely hard work, and it doesn’t always come with a thank you, so I want people to feel the support. I want to help nurture our new talent too. It’s all about communication and collaboration.”
