This spring we took the trek down to Savannah College of Art and Design to talk shop with the next generation of editors and storytellers.
At Whitehouse Post, we’ve always believed in growing talent from within. More than 80% of our editorial team started as runners, learning the craft from the ground up before progressing through assistant roles and stepping into the edit suite themselves. That culture of mentorship and growth has shaped our company for decades. Spending time with SCAD students who have the same curiosity and ambition made us feel right at home.
The most exciting part is that our relationship doesn't end just because we left campus. Since our visit, we’ve welcomed two SCAD students to the Whitehouse Post family.
Partnerships between editorial companies and universities aren’t all that common, which is one of the reasons our relationship with SCAD is so important to us.
A huge thanks to SCAD for having us. We left inspired, energized, and feeling pretty great about where editorial is headed.
